The Early Preschool Program at Fun N Fit is designed to prepare your child as he begins the educational latter filled with Preschool, Kindergarten, and beyond.

The Learning Journey

Three-year-olds are filled with energy and ask tons of questions.  This is the stage where learning begins to flourish, as their memory begins to form and education can be built from previous materials.  Assembling these educational tools help achieve our ultimate goal of Kindergarten readiness.

The Early Preschool Program at Fun N Fit is designed to create an environment that allows each child to create, move, and interact; while also teaching the beginning fundamentals of an educational classroom.

How We Achieve It

Our Early Preschool teachers customize their own activities to teach language and communication, cognitive skills, creativity, gross- and fine-motor skills, as well as personal and social skills.  The three-year-olds are also encouraged to develop their prewriting and reading skills through the use of art activities, daily reading, and letter recognition.  Math and science skills are promoted through number recognition, age-appropriate manipulatives, sensory activities, and experiments.  Children participate in a daily group time where they will go over the calendar, letter of the week, sing songs, and enjoy a story.

To encourage social interaction, center time is an important building block used daily.  Children sit together at mealtime and food is served family style where students are given responsibilities to assist the teacher.  This is also the perfect time for daily communication and teachers to model appropriate table manners.  If the weather allows, we enjoy going outside everyday to enjoy our outside playground, basketball hoops, and bikes.  Three-year-olds participate daily in athletic activities including, but not limited to: gymnastics, swimming, and an organized gym class.

Parents are presented with assessment updates throughout the year.  These include ongoing portfolio collections, developmental checklist reports, and family/teacher conferences twice a year.
